A Tributary In The Abstract

During an early morning flight up the east coast of the Atlantic I captured just a few images of the beaches and tributaries with my camera. We'd had an overnight snowfall and the temps were well below freezing but that did not stop me from quickly opening the small co-pilot window to capture the beauty of the winter magic below. I had to shoot quickly so as not to freeze our cockpit and was satisfied with a quick look at the back of my camera. As I locked the window for the remainder of our journey north the tributaries of York, Maine faded out of site. I knew I had something unique to work with and creating this finished piece would actually take a few years before I would be satisfied that it was finally complete.
